NATURE

PROJECT NAME - Organic Online UI

Problem: For this project, I was tasked to create the interactive components for an online plant, seed, and gardening store. To create a "wow" moment at every interation that draws the user in.

Research: Looking at existing solutions, I found many digital components were lacking intentional design. Creating a refined solution that sets our brand apart could create a loyal customer base.

Solution: A cohesive set of buttons, check boxes, sliders, and switches with a distinct natural look and feel that follows brand guidelines.

Takeaway:

I wanted the style to connect with the user and draw them in, which is why I chose to go with a more human, cozy, hand drawn style. With the rise of AI and the flattening of style and culture, making something that was distinctly natural was important to me and my research showed would resonate with users, especially users of a gardening site. I also created the style intentionally to reflect the environment with grainy textures like dirt and with movement and natural colors.

Since I was young, I have always loved spending time in nature. I joined Boy Scouts of America and worked my way up to Eagle Scout rank. One of my favorite things was going on campouts and I continue to enjoy hiking and camping.

PROJECT NAME - Animated Bee Infographic

This 3D animated infographic visually illustrates the issues facing our pollinators. While some movements could be smoother, overall, the project translates well and I believe gets the information across to the viewer. In retrospect, the experience could also be gamified to make it more engaging to a viewer.

PROJECT NAME - CuraLeaf Plant Care

Create a lifestyle product and service for the houseplant connesieur. Using the proprietary app, identify plants and issues with your plant health, then our service will create a custom plant care plan with products delivered right t your door.
